Antique Country Home Sale Page 2

182 Drake Rd.

Effingham NH 03882

This composite picture gallery below shows just a few of the house highlights. Note the large country front and rear porches.  The house is on the corner of Drake and Champion Hill Roads. The picture in the top group of three pictures, shows the view pulling in the main driveway.  Please note the picture on the top left shows a view of one of the two main entry ways and a nice wide set of stairs leading up to the door. In the picture of the Back Of House and Barn(right side of picture) you can see the large rear porch and a large closed in dog yard, with entrances from the house and from the yard.

The dining room picture above reveals a well lit, well proportioned and inviting room that has been the scene of many large gatherings.  Please note the cathedral ceilings, hand hewn beams (more than several centuries old) and wood floors. As you focus your attention on the photo of the large genuine country kitchen, complete with plenty of cherry wood cabinet storage and center island counter and original hand hewn beams. note how well lit, charming and inviting it makes you feel.  The beautiful living room has a southerly exposure  and has a beautiful view of the back yard (not visible in picture) and the magnificent old pine stands on the property. The wood floors in the room are original and more than 207 years old! The first library picture, looking toward the tea room, shows the ceiling with the original hand hewn beams. In the photo showing the library fireplace view, you can just imagine yourself sitting in front of a cozy fire. In front of you is the inviting fireplace with its full size mantle, and the doorway to another room that faces Champion hill road and is adjacent to the front porch. The last photo on this page shows the tea room with wet sink, small refrigerator, shelving and Cabinetry. The flooring is a combination of slate and wood with accents of genuine rose quartz.  Not shown in this photo is a large powder room accesible to the tea room through a door on the right. In the original home, the combination of the tea room and powder room was a "birthing room".

Shown below are larger full size photos of the inside to give you a better view of them.  Enjoy!
