The Angels Speak
I started angelwriting in early 2002, after reading the book “Angelspeake” by Barbara Mark and Trudy Griswold. Inspired by their experiences, but skeptical about my own ability to share them, I sat one night at my computer (a process that seemed less elegant and, well, spiritual, than pen-and-journal, but necessary due to my carpal tunnel issues) cleared my self and my space, meditated to open myself up to receive guidance, asking for only that which was from the highest sources and for my highest good to be received…placed my hands on the keyboard (…ok, two fingers…I hearby officially admit to being a hunt-and-peck typist…) and those fingers started to fly (I am a pretty fast two-finger typist.)
Enter Niothella:
“Dearest one you are so dearly loved. We are here with you always and we applaud all your wonderful efforts and the work you do. It is not easy being human and you have chosen to do much work this time dearest one. Be JOYFUL and celebrate all that you have accomplished. There is no blame for what you perceive as failure for there can be no failure, only lessons and victories. You must dance more. Dance for JOY. Dance into your higher self, for she IS Joy. You know this, for we have already told you. J We are embracing you in every moment.
Your body has suffered much but it can be healed. You must love yourself enough to help your body to regain what it has lost. Dance, Dance, Dance. Keep flowing with the energy and rhythm of the Universe, of the ONE. You are this energy. Flow, Flow, Flow. Feel the LOVE that surrounds you as you do this. Let the LOVE lift you on its wings. Visualize, Visualize, Visualize the healing you desire.
Dearest one, you already are what you wish to be, now you have only to step into that Self that is JOY and know her as she truly is. Don’t stop believing it for one moment. Remember who you are. Remember, Remember, Remember. All that you need and desire will come to you. It is already there waiting for you to see it and accept it. You choose the NOW. You choose. You Choose. YOU CHOOSE. Speak with us often and we will help you remember. You are so loved. You are so blessed. You have so many blessings to give and to share. You will do the work you came here for. You have been doing it all along, for yourself and for others. It will only get better & better as you flow into your higher self – into JOY!!!”
(I have since learned that when Niothella repeats something three times, it is for emphasis, and I should pay attention to those key words.) After more communication from Niothella, I then asked who else might be there to speak to me.
Enter Diona:
“I am Diona and I am angelic one though small and bright and always moving and dancing about I am here to be your playfulness and joyfulness like the beam of a rainbow through a prism and to make you laugh and not take life too seriously I am your childlike wonderousness and I love you and am so ecstatic when you are Joyful like your name. Sometimes when you are sad I bring you delight when the sadness serves you no longer.”
The energy of these two beings was noticeably different from each other in feeling. As time went by I came to recognize their individual energies when they made themselves known to me outside of the writing. They bring such support and help to me in my life.
Connecting With Orion
Next came Orion, not an angel, but a Master Spirit Teacher. Before appearing in the writing, I had had a brief brush with Orion, through my husband, Nathan…a somewhat comic tale that is told further on. I had asked if any being had guidance to offer me for my physical healing…
Enter Orion:
“You must ask for healing for your body, and you must ask your body to heal itself. You must ask this often, many times every day. Prayer, my dear one, is the key. It is authentic power in action. It is your connection with the divine in all things and to the divine in your own nature. You know the physical things you must do, but in your heart and soul you must know also that you can be healed if you do choose it, but you must keep on choosing it, over and over. That is prayer. The power of prayer. Choosing in each moment, being in a prayerful place each moment.
And remember the power of your thoughts and words. You know the ones, the self-negating ones. You are right that they must go! Replace all self-negating thought with the affirmation of prayer. Ask. It is yours for the asking. And then choose to do your beautiful work. Choose to sing and to dance and to write and create. It is ok to do all these things for yourself. You must do all these things for yourself first.
Choose to love yourself and to let go of fear and be one with the moment. It takes time, but less than you imagine. You can accelerate this process by dedication to right choice. Keep creating. It is alright to rest when you are tired. You will need less and less rest as time goes by. You will have abundant energy dear one for all that you desire to do. Be patient for it will all come to you if you choose it, and continue to choose it. Use your tools.”
He also told me that he would be available to me anytime I required his assistance – I would only have to ask. I then asked this wise and loving being if I could know their name, and was told “I am the one you now know as Orion.” In amazement, I thought back to a dark and stormy night a week or so before….it was late December 2001, and Nathan and I were driving back from a holiday visit to NH, returning to our home in upstate NY. It was after dark and we were driving in a blinding snowstorm. That is, Nathan was driving, and I was talking, excitedly sharing with him my some of my recent angelwriting experiences. Suddenly Nathan interrupted me to say, out of the blue, “You need Watermelon Ruby.”
“Huh?” I replied. “what exactly is watermelon ruby?”
“I don’t know,” said Nathan, “but someone just told me to tell you that you should have some.”
Ok, I thought…whatever. And then it occurred to me to ask, “Why didn’t whoever it was just tell me?”
Nathan paused for a moment, asking the question, and then he laughed.
“You’re not going to like this…they said that they tried to tell you, but they couldn’t get a word in edgewise!”
We both got a good laugh from that…some cosmic wise guy was giving me crystal advice now. Then I asked Nathan if he could ask just who it was that had offered this information. Another pause, and then he said, “I am receiving the name ‘Orion’.”
At that point road conditions claimed our attention, but we later agreed that we would have to look up “watermelon ruby” the next day. When we did so on the internet, we discovered that “watermelon ruby” was a somewhat obscure nickname for a composite stone known as “ruby in zoisite.” Pictures showed a green stone (the zoisite) containing deep red ruby crystals. Immediately I recognized the stone as one I had seen several days before, in a rock shop in NH. In fact, I had seen two of them, what I remembered thinking were large oval-shaped cabachons.
We then looked into the metaphysical properties of this stone, and found that it was known as a “stone of transformation” – that helps you to renew, reinvent and rebirth yourself and helps to enhance your intuitive abilities – just the stone I could use, we both could use, as a helper at that time.
I made a quick call to the shop in NH, and described the stones and where I had seen them in the crowded displays. The store owner followed my directions and then said he had found them, but they were actually beads. “We’ll take them!” I said, and we arranged to have them shipped right out. A few days later they arrived – a pair of puffy oval beads about 1” X 1 1/2 “ – and we strung them on black satin cords and placed them around our necks…and have worn them every day since.
So, when the being that was sending me guidance identified himself as “Orion” I had to ask if he was the one who told Nathan about the stone for me, and if so, why did he tell Nathan rather than wait until I was available. (It’s not like spirit-plane beings have time considerations….)
Orion replied: “He hears the stones speak and he hears us when we speak of the stones. This is part of his task, his power and his being-ness in this life plan, should he choose to follow it. In other time/dimensions he has been the Crystal Speaker and they council with him, and he with them.”
“Is there more I can share with him about this?” I asked.
“He must trust what he hears for the stones will always guide him truly and he must not let self-doubt close his ears to the messages of the crystals. He has/is/will always manifest this power wisely in the time/dimensions, so he must not fear it now. His heart will hear. He must listen with his heart and speak the crysta’ls truth as he hears it in his heart. He may ask for guidance. I will guide him whenever he asks. He must choose.”
With this message came a greater understanding of the knowledge that had been growing exponentially within Nathan over the past year…an understanding of the stone people that seemed to go far beyond anything he had been learning through his studies and ever-increasing affinity for crystals and their purposes. Orion has, as promised, made his guidance available to us whenever asked for.
